Excerpt from a contemporary article: In 1959 (Showa 34), automatic iron tests were conducted by six companies: the five major Japanese manufacturers (National, Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Toshiba, and Sanyo) and Okusan (Okuno Electric Industry Co., Ltd.). This Okusan iron achieved excellent results in these product tests.

Okusan's product showed the least temperature variation among the six companies. The original description reads: "In this test, Okusan demonstrated truly outstanding results (excerpt)... Okuno Electric, the manufacturer, is certainly much smaller than major manufacturers like Toshiba and Hitachi, but we offer our heartfelt applause and respect for producing such a high-performance product." This is a rare and valuable item, as very few of these original, unused items still exist.
