The monocoated version is common for the Astronomer series, but a multicoated type was made in the latter part of the manufacturing and sales period. The multicoating significantly increases the light transmittance, and the clarity is a world apart from the monocoated version, and the occurrence of ghosts and flares is well suppressed.

The prism house is engraved with JB-2, which indicates that it is an OEM manufactured by Katsuma Optical. Below is a simple specification table.
