Description Found on the West Coast of the USA, California, in the suburbs of Los Angeles... ‘PACK, FIELD, CARGO, M-1945' Vintage field cargo pack made of canvas. A rare find from that era, made in 1944. This item was actually used by the US military.
This cargo pack is connected under a combat pack designed to carry a large number of items when carrying out military training or missions. It has a handle at the top and can be used on its own as a bag/bag. It can be opened and closed with the two front straps and the back straps can be used to attach a sleeping bag.
Waterproof cover inside with illustrated instructions on the back of the cover. Stencil with [U.S.] on the front. Bag for everyday use... military collection, etc. The bag has some age-related belt breaks, sagging, fabric scuffs, rusted metal fittings, pen marks, etc., but it is very sturdy.
